Registration and Keynote Updates


Hello ATESL Members, 

We hope you are well and looking forward to warmer days ahead.

We are excited to announce that registration for ATESL 2022 Online - Refresh, Recharge, Refocus, is now open! Register now to take advantage of our early bird registration rates by following the link below: 

ATESL 2022 Rates and Registration

Upon registration, look out for an email with your event username and password! This will be used to access the event portal when it it is launched. For any other questions about registration, please contact atesl.admin@atesl.ca 

We are also excited to announce our first secured keynote speaker for this year’s conference, Patrice Palmer, who will share her insights on self-care in the English language training profession.

We are thrilled to begin announcing our keynotes for the ATESL 2022 Conference! 

Last week, we announced Patrice Palmer as our first keynote speaker. We are extremely excited to announce our second keynote speaker for the conference, Dr. Helaine W. Marshall. 

Would you like to speak or know someone that should? This is your chance! We kindly ask you to forward this message across your networks for the attention of those to whom this call may be of interest.

Call for Presentations is NOW OPEN! Application deadline: Friday, July 29, 2022

Presentation ideas can be across various streams and structured in a number of formats including panel presentation, workshop, panel discussion or lightning talk. 

If you are interested in presenting at ATESL 2022, please complete the Call for Presentations form by July 29, 2022. Please plan your submission accordingly. Submissions past this date will not be reviewed.

One week left for 2022 Conference Proposals!

Hello ATESL Members!

The 2022 Conference Call for Presentations Application deadline is one week away! 

Would you like to present at this year's conference? This is your chance! 

Presentation ideas can be across various streams and structured in a number of formats including panel presentation, workshop, panel discussion or lightning talk. 

Are you an ATESL member that has never presented at a conference, but have just been waiting for an opportunity? If so, you are eligible for one of ten $100 first time presenter bursaries! 

If you are interested in presenting at ATESL 2022, please complete the Call for Presentations form by July 29, 2022. Please plan your submission accordingly.

Submissions past this date will not be reviewed, and there will be no extensions.

The ATESL Conference Committee is accepting  applications from TESL professionals interested in tech roles for its 2022 Virtual Conference (Oct 14-15).

Paid Position: IT Lead

ATESL 2022 Award Nominations

As I’m sure you are all aware, ATESL’s 2022 Conference -  Refresh, Recharge, and Refocus is coming up, and it is time to post the nominations for ATESL's annual member awards.
 
Do you have a colleague who exemplifies excellence in field?
Do you know someone that has been a trailblazer in innovation?
Is there someone who inspired you to be a better educator because of how wonderful they are? 
 
ATESL has three awards that we invite members to submit nominees for. 
 
They are the ATESL Lifetime Membership Award, the Carolyn Dieleman Award, and the Dawn Seabrook deVargas Fellowship.

ATESL 2022 Rates and Registration

The ATESL Conference Committee is pleased to announce The Shoe Project as this year’s fourth and final keynote presentation. Join us as we listen to seven immigrant women share their stories of their journey to Canada.

Our Program Committee is working hard to finalize this year’s program. Keep an eye on your email for an announcement of when our program goes live! We’re excited about the diverse number of sessions including topics about educational technology and the blended classroom, developing adult literacy, designing inclusive and equitable resources, and promoting healthy practices for instructor and student well-being.
