Vocabulary Teaching – Resources and Best Practices

Mar 28, 2019

Community of Practitioners Sharing Session

The ESL profession is filled with talented, dedicated individuals who have developed pedagogical expertise by working with diverse second language learning populations. Many ESL educators have experience working in international settings and have contributed to curriculum development at their institutions. The cumulative expertise of the ESL teaching community is an invaluable resource to support the professional growth of peers in the field. As a result, the first ATESL professional development event for 2019 will be a community of practitioners sharing session – local ESL educators and administrators will share best practices, activities, resources, or great ideas to promote discussion and contemplation with a focus on vocabulary teaching.

Please come and join in the event as a participant or presenter. We are looking for educators who would like to briefly share (5 – 10 minute talk) a best practice, activity, resource, etc. they have developed or used in their classroom. If you are interested in sharing, please contact Greg Ogilvie (gogilvie@atesl.ca or gregory.ogilvie@uleth.ca).
