ESL LINC Assistant
Compensation: Hourly $15 - $30

The LINC Program is looking for newly graduated (within 6 months) university students or current university students to fill 8 temporary teacher assistants’ positions in Edmonton’s LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada) Programs for the summer. LINC delivers basic English language training to adult immigrants and refugees.
Start Date: May 1, 2019
End Date: August 23, 2019
These positions take place at various locations within the City of Edmonton. Site selection for each candidate will be determined based on program needs.
LINC Assistants will contribute to service delivery projects, primarily working with LINC instructors, performing tasks such as one-on-one tutoring, working with small groups, helping with computer literacy, accompanying students on field trips, and other duties, as requested.
Applicant must currently be attending a university program or have just graduated from a university program within the last 6 months. Preference will be given to those attending or just graduated from a Bachelor of Education program.
*In accordance with Immigration, Refugee, and Citizenship Canada’s regulations, all applicants must be Permanent Residents of Canada or Canadian Citizens.
*A clear Police Check and Intervention Record Check are required and must be submitted to complete the hiring process.
