Site Coordinator (Temporary)

Organization: St. Francis of Assisi Women's Program
Location: 6614 - 129 Avenue NW, Edmonton,
Compensation: Hourly $30 - $50
Start Date: Dec. 20, 2023
Closing Date: Dec. 7, 2023

*This location is a Women's Program eligible to female candidates only.
Shift: Monday - Friday
Hours: 30 hours/per week

Start Date: Wednesday, December 20, 2023
End Date: Friday, March 1, 2024

*A clear Police Information and Vulnerable Sector Check and Intervention Record Check are required and must be submitted to complete the hiring process.

Oversee & coordinate the day-to-day operations of the LINC Program.

1. Effectively coordinate the LINC Program
2. Report to and take direction from the Program Manager and LINC Admin Team (LAT)
3. Work with the Academic Coordinator to ensure that programming is current, responsive to students’ needs, and reflective of Edmonton Catholic Separate School Division’s (ECSD) LINC Mission Statement
4. Work with LAT to complete all program proposals, including budgets and reports set out in the funding application agreements
5. Supervise, direct, support and evaluate staff
6. Assist in recruitment, selection, training, performance appraisal, and termination of staff
7. Oversee site payroll and submit, on a monthly basis, to the Program Manager
8. Participate in the Annual Report review in April
9. Submit current staff lists to ECSD HR Business Partner for yearly contract creation
10. Inform LINC Program Assistant and ECSD HR Business Partner of any staff changes
11. In consultation with Academic Coordinator, arrange professional development for staff
12. Every session, working with instructors, ensures a minimum of, at least, one module and all its assessments are submitted and in accordance with PBLA requirements
13. Hold regular staff meetings and report any issues/concerns/comments to the Program Manager
14. Manage the site’s Purchasing Card (Visa) ensuring statements are balanced and submitted to the Business Manager and Program Manager
15. Submit all purchases, purchase requests, receipts, and invoices to the Program Manager for approval
16. Manage own school’s budget, ensuring monthly entries are up to date
17. Assist the LINC Admin Team in preparation of funding proposals, annual project performance reports and other documents required by IRCC
18. Participate in meetings, as necessary: LAT, LARCC Advisory Committee, ERLAC, etc., and
19. Perform other duties as required or assigned by the Program Manager


- B.Ed. or related post-secondary education & TESL certificate or equivalent
- Experience establishing and maintaining Human Resources such as recruitment, selection, orientation, staff training, and service delivery
- Able to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with the staff, students, funders, community partners, and others
- Understanding of and experience using the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB’s)
- Proven successful experience working in a cross-cultural setting
- Experience working with second language methodology
- Experience with program planning, implementing, evaluating, and budgeting
- Skilled at using Microsoft Office 365
- Familiar with issues facing immigrants in Canada
- Curriculum or resource development experience would be an asset
- Ability to relate and empathize with adult immigrant students from various cultures, and
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written, and organizational skills
