January 21 - Open Source Digital Literacy Curriculum for Low Literacy Newcomers

Hello and Happy New Year!

The first PD session of 2020 will be held on Tuesday, January 21. Olivia Chen and Christine Do of TIES will present An Open Source Digital Literacy Curriculum for Low Literacy Newcomers. They will introduce a free online digital literacy resource for participants and organizations. NICO prepares learners for online classes and teaches them the skills they need to succeed in an online class such as computer skills, time management, and study skills.

The session will be held from 7:00 to 8:00 pm at The Immigrant Education Society (TIES) Welcome Center at 3820 - 32nd Street N.E., Calgary, AB, T1Y 7L9 in the Assembly room on the first floor. There will be light refreshments available.
