Description:

ATESL’s EDI/Anti-Racism resources for the CLB 3/4 classroom aim to highlight equity, diversity, and inclusion, increase cross-cultural awareness, and address racism. This presentation will introduce a module framework, showcase highlights of the resource, share some teaching tips, and encourage discussion of ways to utilize this resource in the classroom.

Bios:

Jeremy Wilson is the Resource Developer for ATESL’s EDI/Anti-Racism project. He also works as the Project and Curriculum Developer and LINC Instructor, for the Literacy Centre of Expertise at TIES. He is passionate about utilizing his teaching and instructional design experience to create engaging resources for EAL learners.

Haimei Wang is the Project Coordinator for ATESL’s EDI/Anti-Racism project. She also works as a research officer at Bow Valley College. She has an MA in linguistics and extensive ESL/EAL teaching and research experience. Her research interests centre around language instruction, integration and settlement.
