Keeping Adult Learner’s Engaged Online

Grounded in research and practice, presenter HeeJae Chung will share how educators can keep adult learners engaged in an online English language learning environment. She will discuss best practices and strategies that can be employed, as well as caveats to consider when teaching English virtually.

Presenter Bio

HeeJae  Chung  holds an M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and a B.F.A. in Production Design. She is currently completing her Ph.D. in Adult, Professional, and Community Education at Texas State University, where she works as a doctoral research assistant. Her professional interests include adult learning, English  language-culture teaching,  and  virtual learning experience design.  She is particularly interested in the design and implementation of creative strategies and resources to motivate and stimulate learning among international adult learners.
