Creating a Positive Learning Environment – Approaches and Best Practices

Community of Practitioners Sharing Session

The ESL profession is filled with talented, dedicated individuals who have developed pedagogical expertise by working with diverse second language learning populations. Previous community of practitioners sharing sessions have been very successful in providing a space for colleagues to share their best practices and discuss their teaching approaches. As a result, we have decided to host another community of practitioners session in May, this time focusing on creating a positive learning environment.

Please come and join local ESL educators and administrators as they share best practices, activities, resources, or approaches to promote discussion and contemplation about creating a positive learning environment.

We are looking for educators who would like to briefly share (5 – 10 minute talk) a best practice, activity, approach, etc. they have developed or used in their classroom. If you are interested in sharing, please contact Greg Ogilvie (gogilvie@atesl.ca or gregory.ogilvie@uleth.ca).
