Saturday, December 3rd: Anti-Racism in the EAL/ESL Alberta Community

The Board is very happy to share that ATESL will be hosting a free, three hour, online anti-racism symposium on Saturday, December 3 from 9-12 am: Anti Racism in the EAL/ESL Alberta Community

The symposium will feature 3 speakers:

Iftu Hargaya;

Suzanne Clavelle; and

Alexandra Marshall.

Feedback from the engagement sessions will inform how the Government of Alberta can play a leading role in addressing racism and identify what anti-racism actions, initiatives, programs and services are needed to help address racism in Alberta.

ATESL's  members, and our learners are comprised of the most diverse populations in the province and our feedback is vital. This symposium will help us to focus our feedback and enhance our advocacy.

Registration for the December 3 event will be opening soon.

Please watch ATESL's social media, and your email for registration information for this free online event.
