Engineering Communication Language Portfolio
This is a comprehensive approach to using portfolios with higher level students in employment bridging programs, in this case targeted to internationally educated engineers. The Engineering Communication Language Portfolio combines regular portfolio functions in the context of the ETIP communication course: 1. It shows you and others you what your CLB score means in terms of real English and communication skills. 2. It is a comprehensive record of your learning and workplace experience with formal and informal English, both in Canada and abroad. 3. It helps you to get the most out of the course by understanding your areas needing improvement, setting your learning goals, (self) assessing your progress and reflecting on your experience. 4. It allows you to collect evidence of your “soft skills” to include in your future employment portfolio.
