How literate are your learners?

Audio presentation by Amy Meckelborg. Duration in minutes: 74:23 There is a lot of talk these days about Multiliteracy, New Literacies, and 21 Century Literacy skills. In the first half of this session we’ll explore the meaning of these terms, how they relate to traditional concepts of literacy and what they have to do with teaching English as a second or additional language. In the second half, we’ll take a look at a variety of learning activities for both face-to-face and online language classes that promote the development of these literacy skills. In so doing, we will also have the opportunity to consider a number of Web 2.0 tools.
